Soojin Chang – Live Artist, Filmmaker, Ritual Architect

Soojin Chang is a multidisciplinary artist working across live performance, film, and installation. Rooted in the feminine void, their work explores multispecies consciousness, ritual, and the body as a site of transformation. Through acts of ingestion, exchange, and undoing, Chang instantiates metabolic cycles where human, nonhuman, machine, and divine forces dissolve into one another.

Merging biotechnological research with embodied ritual, Chang materialises thresholds of sovereignty and surrender—where bodies metabolise, reconstitute, and emerge anew. Their recent commissions expand into immersive, sculptural environments that integrate live process, technological mediation, and metabolic cycles.

Chang’s work has been presented at MoMA PS1, ICA London, Jerwood Space, FACT Liverpool, Barbican Centre, and Asia Culture Center, among others.
